Where are you going? The answer, your face, just isn't showing. How could you leave here without me even knowing? Where are you going? How long did you pack for? Should I leave your things out back, stored? Or is there nothing here that you would come back for? How long did you pack for? I'll be fine. I'll get by, with a little help from my friends. You and I, it was only a matter of time. Can I follow? Lonesome is a pill too hard to swallow. Fumble through my days left here to wallow. If I packed my suitcase, can I follow?

this was an entry to a weekly songwriting competition called 'songfight'. The prompt was suitcase, you had to go from there. Written, scored, recorded and produced in 6 days.

The story opens up with someone coming home and their partner, wife, lover, etc., has a suitcase packed and was splitting, attempting to sneak out while the other was away.
