I have dreams in high definition where the sun shines like blue ray disc tv glows ambition is my own worst enemy when it conflicts with my favorite tv shows primetime syncs up with meditation medicated by those ultraviolet radios all those conversations that you and I avoided seem like less awkward social scenarios I don't really care that it controls me even though I know its fucking up my head I don't really care that it controls me as far as I am concerned the damn thing owns me I have dreams in picture and picture like radio active microwave meals my attention span is jumpstarted every half an hour by a world that is so real, I need pills I don't really care that it controls me even though i know its fucking up my head I dont really care that it controls me as far as I am concerned the damn thing owns me and I'm always half asleep, but I can't avoid because through hypnosis I know have nerves of steel yesterday I bought a bunch of shit that ain't worth nothing but on tv it looked like a pretty sweet deal

about

Eddie is one of the most love-able guys you could ever meet. We started making music together one night while I was waiting for his roommate Chris to get home, whom I was in a different music project with. He was belting out a tune with a chorus of 'I've got a nine-pronged dong' - with contagious joy and some good rye. I took out my guitar and we drank and smoked and sang songs, it was so much fun! We had so much fun that people started asking us when we were hanging out next and it became a thing to come hang out and drink whiskey while Eddie and Darrick got drunk and played tunes. Eddie would go on these epic rants off the top of his head and everyone enjoyed them.

This recording is an attempt to capture that feeling. My friend Joe Stulpin had a home made recording studio in his basement - we set up microphones but then hid them so we would forget we were recording. We pressed record and just started chilling. We didn't know what each other was going to play we just wanted to capture the experience of being in a room with us. We are happy with the result.
